Re-Emergence Day is Upon us!
On this day, we celebrate our re-emerging, possibly into the new year, possibly from winter. However, since winter is definitely not over year, it is not the final emerging, and so this day is about celebrating the act of being able to re-emerge, at any time, and as much as possible, whenever we feel like it.
There are many forms of this celebration we've discovered by sharing our various traditions. Below is a non-exclusive list of what everyone in this forum could remember. Feel free to celebrate in your own way, whether you're doing in-person at the party in NYC, or at your own local celebration.

THEMES
- Colour scheme is dark brown and pink, with some dirty white and very occasional blue.
- Clocks, temporarily frozen in time
- Swishy door drapes for emerging through dramatically
- Greet your fellow celebrators, with "I'm Ba--ack!", "Merry Moulting", "Hello again world" or "herbafinowtgin"
WHAT TO WEAR
- Phoenixes are common symbol for Re-Emergence day, so anything fire or bird-like is celebrated.
- Accessorizing with clocks, functional or not
- Otherwise, anything in the brown/pink/white/blue colour scheme
FOOD AND DRINK
- Pitted fruit (to eat, you must make the pit emerge)
- Eggs of any kind. Kinder Surprise if you're in a jurisdiction where they are legal (outside the US).
- Salami precisely cut into squares, and cheese precisely cut into circles. Can be eaten in a sandwhich, or loose.
- Cocktails themed after the d(a?)emons
- Our music playlist, assembled from this forum.
- Chant the traditional colours nursery rhyme.
- Create and hand out candles that, as they burn down, reveal prizes emerging from the wax.
- Reminisce about the famous Kids in the Hall sketch. Watch Kevin McDonald's in-depth response to Dustin's recent question about it.
- Recite the Re-Emergence Phoenix story
- Do a ritual to determine your Re-Emergence daemon/spirit (known options are "forest", "baby", "quiet", "knowledge / age", "fire", "crush" but this is only some of them)
- As a group, hiding, then emerging again
- Take apart your leftover Christmas tree and make a doll of yourself
