All my work mixes my background in theatre and human-computer interaction. I am currently working on a new startup, currently in stealth {📸⏩🎞️}.
For my PhD, I built a gesture-controlled live video editor for improv theatre performers. I’ve worked at a series of AR/VR startups in Silicon Valley on emerging spatial computing platforms. Most recently, I worked as a research scientist at Meta Reality Labs on neural interfaces. From 2023-2024, I did a DIY sabbatical exploring multiple future-facing R&D themes. I am currently a visiting scholar at NYU, collaborating with Andrew Chang on research related to signal processing in group videoconferencing. See my academic page for more research work.
From 2016-2019, I worked on various live telepresence entertainment solutions, with various collaborators in VR and using the label Escape Character for my own work. Our show The Aluminum Cat won the Indiecade 2019 award for “Innovation in Experience Design”.
